BALLPEN // The dreams trilogy [LBN005]

Posted by f.a.r.e.s on

“Some of this dreams are made in a song form, some others are built like a possible dream would develop.  Some vocal parts  sound like somebody that’s sleep talking and the music is supposed to be what’s  sonically going on in his/her head or you can  hear that the music melts when somebody is falling asleep.  And if you listen at a reasonable low volume you can still hear the  music and what’s going on in the room  next to yours at the same time.”

ALBERTO SANTIZZO // Groovielaugh EP [unfound51]

Posted by f.a.r.e.s on

“Alberto Santizzo is a Guatemalan living in Mexico already with a bunch of releases under his belt. On Unfoundsound, he delivers Groovielaugh EP – four deep, off-kilter tech-house jams with an experimental edge fueled by groovy rhythms, nifty basslines, witty vocal cuts and warms synth stabs. These tracks are heady, pleasantly twisted and very dj-friendly. Play them at the party. Play them in your car. Play them on your ipod. And watch your evening flow and flow.”

THE MYSTERY ARTIST // Unquietness [enrmp253]

Posted by f.a.r.e.s on

A drifty new wave / indie rock album by the Portuguese band The Mystery Artist. They initially emerged in early 2006 in Luxembourg as an undefined and in constant evolution concept, reinvented in the summer of the same year in Porto with new members and new musical arrangements.

MOTOR // Mammoth [FRAG011]

Posted by f.a.r.e.s on

I decided to start with this nice album released by the russian netlabel Fragment in 2006. The releases of this label where my first contact to the netlabel scene. Especially “Mammoth” by Motor (Vadim Ougrioumov from Moscow) impressed me a lot. Still in 2010, it’s a brilliant release.
