As a result we were able to support a lot of charity work and organizations.
The war is still far from being over and what the Russians started on February 24th 2022 already has had a huge impact on all of our lives, but way more on those of the Ukrainian people.

After much demand from fans and bands, we decided to compile a Post-Punk compilation, called Post-Punk (Genesis), uniting Post-Punk artists from allover the world.
We were honestly quite surprised by the amount of submissions we received, 1564 in total. 44 bands were then invited to be part of the compilation itself. You’ll get an eclectic collection of all of the colors you can find inside the Post-Punk scene, from pure New Wave to contemporary mixes of Post Punk and electronics. There will be something for everyone!
The tracks underwent careful post mastering & sound adjustment by Erlend Eilertsen (Lights A.M, Essence Of Mind) and this for a maximum audio pleasure.

“Released before In Absentia signed contract with Hard Records in 1993, Charnel House Chatterbox was a sort of “greatest hits” demo compilation In Absentia released in 1992, containing the most popular tracks from previous demo tapes and live shows. Today the cassette album is regarded as a ‘cult’ item from the early Danish EBM scene.
At a recent visit to the archives of In Absentia the original DAT tape with the album showed up. As the years have been kind to the tape and the songs sounded just as crisp as when it was recorded back then (well, mind that it WAS lo-fi production at the time) In Absentia decided to digitalize it and give it a remaster. The result is now here for you to re-visit 1992 and the era of old school EBM and electro punk in all its lo-fi glory!”

“We are almost certain that someone who goes by the name of Erick Jäger is behind the Patient 36 moniker. Other than that, we actually don’t know that much with certainty. His musical history seems to have gone through a range of monumental ups and downs. Having survived childhood trauma in the alp region with psaltery, Hammered dulcimer, harp and yodel and the obligatory ‘Schuhplattler’, he found himself in the 90’s, releasing on Disko B and performing in the legendary Ultraschall club. In between, he had to walk a painful path which involved bell-bottoms, electric guitars and motor cycle accidents and finally led him to the realization, that machines actually are the better instruments. Not that this would have saved him from a detour into industrial and gothic music. And now? These days he produces occasional releases, each dedicated to a particular theme – always one of the big ones of course – with production support by one of our longstanding Broque buddies and conceptual ideas which go way beyond just music. We happily leave it up to you to decide if you can hear all of this on Ein kleiner Tod. While we are not sure about too many things, one is for sure: that this release is so packed with history, in between DAF, Disko B and Liaisons Dangereuses, as it is with passion and enthusiasm.”

“I felt a change of pace was needed, so I tried my hand at something 150+BPM. Initially it was a straight 4/4 hardcore/gabber piece, but it eventually morphed into this.
Chopped the vocal from an old Dancehall LP I bought this week, sounds a lot like Burro Banton to me but I’m not 100% on that. Burro Banton is the fucking man, so I’ve got no issue crediting him with it regardless of his involvement.
Everything is sequenced on an old, tired MPC4000. Drums are Vermona DRM MK1 through a Voodoo Octave guitar pedal. Percussion is a Roland M-DC 1 processed through a JomoX T-Resonator II and couple of other guitar pedals. Synth pad is the Waldorf MicroWave XT with a Boss RV-1000 on top. Outro synth was Novation Super BassStation and a T.C. Electronics Fireworx. Master channel; Art Pro VLA II compressor and an old Akai PEQ. All recorded to tape for the dancehall feel (and hiss, mainly).”
