“Coflo‘s Boa Noite EP is a two track dancer’s play on words.
Boa Tarde, Portuguese for ‘Good Afternoon’, creates a musical landscape with a melodic drone. Designed to create a dancer’s moving mediation, the drums provide energy for the breath, while the leads become the mantra. The second half of the song features a series of lead sonics that unleash the dancer’s spirit. The electric guitar synthesizer lovechild lead creates sustaining movement that pushes the dancer into the sky; which then breaks into ethereal bells that fall back down to the dance floor.
Boa Noite, Portuguese for ‘Good Night’, offers an interesting intersection of syncopated drums and leads against a backdrop of thick etherial pads and soundscapes.
