“His music is difficult to describe as something static and recognizable. In his works Mark combines several qualities.
Building a well-structured blend of ambient and dub techno sound, Mark resorted to field notes, recordings of ambient sounds, which makes his music even more interesting, and brings the listener as close as possible to the places and emotions (maybe even events) experienced by the author when writing this music.
It is hard for us to find the right words that could express all the pain and worries about Mark’s death, so we asked his darling wife Julia to write a story for this last EP. Here it is.”
“In 1987, Hady aka Konn8 was born in Beirut. All throughout the 90’s, spent his time listening to cassette tapes that belonged to his father, and these included the likes of Robert Miles, Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Buddha Bar, and Enigma amongst others. Day by day the love for music grew while spending time collecting cassettes and eventually owning his first computer to record his own collection of personal favorites using simple software and programs. Fast forward to 2007 where he moved to Beirut to start University, during these times Trance music had taken over the scene in the city. Every weekend, Hady spent his time attending music events and festivals and eventually buying his first Pioneer DJ set. The year 2008 was a tipping point in Hady’s music taste where in one night he visited Beirut’s renowned club called Basement which was famous for it’s underground music as well as live sets, to weekly international DJ events.
At that time Hady decided to focus more on learning Traktor and diving completely into music genres such as deep and tech house. Around that time, by simple chance Hady meets with an old high school friend in Lebanon, who has spent his entire time on music production using Ableton. They quickly bonded and shared their passion for creating something unrestricted by genre and mostly just for the fun on making good sounds. Fast forward to 2017, today Hady spends most of his time having fun with Traktor and Ableton from time to time.
Specialties vary from Nu-Disco, Deep House, to Progressive, and Dub Techno. This will always depend on the moment.”

No stranger to the world of electronic music, Duchess Of Dub has been deeply rooted in the Canadian electronic music scene since the early days when it was still very much underground.
Originating from the prairies of Saskatchewan Canada, Purl’ was first inspired by the electronic music culture in the early 1990’s by local promoters and DJs (Plastic Puppet Motive, Deko-ze, Kevin K and Techno Tom).
After a personal hiatus Purl’ has returned to her love of Dub, Tech, House and Techno music and has discovered her passion for mixing the sounds she feels eternally connected to.
“There something about it I cannot get enough of!” she states.

We are glad to present you Markus Masuhr, a true trechno enthusiast and the designer of our cover artworks, which look preety good!
“From the deep and raw side of techno comes the artist Markus Masuhr. He lives in Leipzig, Germany, and is the label head of both the record label ‘Pragmat’ and the netlabel ‘Insectorama’. Markus started with electronic music in 1993 with friends at a youth club and illegal parties in Leipzig, he went on spinning techno records till 1997. After a three-year-detour over hip hop, Markus was a DJ of local sound crews and, eventually, came back to 4/4 rhythms. Joining various party crews in Leipzig, Markus made himself a name as a highly skilled techno DJ. At the same time, Markus came to appreciate deep and raw techno and following to the dub techno sound. Till this day, deep and raw techno and dub techno sounds are his main influences.
When turning to produce electronic music himself in 2003, he chose to express his versatile style preferences in his own works as well – making tracks and live acts ranging from deep techno with dub elements to raw techno. in the last years he has published on countless netlabels (insectorama, nulabel, deepindub, tropic…) worldwide.
In the middle of the year 2012 started his own 12″ techno recordlabel ‘Pragmat’. Only for his own interpretation of pure deep and raw techno with dub techno elements. He himself describes his sound as techno that you feel approaching from the rear of the hard but deep with chords echos and delays in a 4/4 pattern dub techno construct.”
