Gapfield : Gapfield Summer [stasis023]

“Dear Friends and Listeneres,

We are pleased to share with you one more excellent piece of music, which is inspired by warmth and sunny delight. And this time it’s a brand new story.

Gapfield is Jacob Newman & Devin Underwood. While Jacob and Devin have produced ambient and drone for labels like DataObscura and Carpe Sonum, this is their first release as Gapfield, a dub techno/experimental project. While they both live far away from each other, they find it important to sync up in real time online to share ideas, music, etc to keep our projects flowing with new ideas and energy.’

Welcome the debut release of a very promising duo!”

Specta Ciera : Mountain Region [stasis022]

“Dear Friends and Listeners,

It is said that mountains are generally less preferable for human habitation than lowlands, because of harsh weather and little level ground suitable for agriculture. The decreasing atmospheric pressure with increasing elevation means that less oxygen is available for breathing, and there is less protection against solar radiation.

It is also said that mountains are thought-provoking, motivating and mesmerizing, and that we, humans, are being attracted by them like a luring light of salvation.

Why do we behave like this?

Here is an impressive survey of the highlands for your consideration.”

Various Artists : Noesis [stasis019]

“Dear Friends and Listeners,

We are glowing with joy and radiant glory, as we celebrate one more year of Energostatic Records! These three years we were releasing music at a leisurely pace, helping young artists to get themselves heard and enlighten mental sparks of human cognition.

We explore the multi-dimensional manifold through musical impacts and we continue Noesis – purely intellectual apprehension of universal forms, the exercise of reason.

We are logic. We are dialectic.

We flow.

We send special thanks and warm greetings to all people that have contributed to the label or we have been working with along the way! Merry Christmas and happy New Year!”

Stellardrone : Light Years [stasis017]

“Humanity has achieved a lot due to the celestial object called sun, which has been doing its solo work for a long time. We have measured time and space, light and darkness.

Light-year is an astronomical unit of length equal to just under 10 trillion kilometers. Light-year is the distance that light travels in a vacuum in one Julian year, like the distance from Earth to Proxima Centauri.

Lithuanian ambient master Stellardrone provides one more work of his cosmic visions. Revolving arpeggios of harmony, bright interstellar drones, some subtle beats are all in here.

Hot sunny days advance us towards summer adventures and some new experiences. These days are full of light. They are full of emotions. We hope that this music will help you make years of light. For those who still dream about space, faraway galaxies, beautiful exoplanets or other destinations – this is the soundtrack of universe.”

Gblanco : Hank’s Lair [stasis014]

“Born in Madrid in 1982, Guillermo Blanco has always been fascinated by music. He became involved with his city’s underground community as soon as he started to spin records.

Later on, he formed a collective along with some friends and began to throw parties, as well as stablishing his own bar called ‘Tesoro’, together with Mora. Despite its limited capacity, it rapidly drew the attention of the experienced clubbers and turned into one of the references of Madrid’s scene in terms of quality electronic music.

Afterwards, as a logical evolution, he began to produce music and collect vintage & modern hardware synths.
His music takes influences from dub, Chicago & Detroit house/techno, ambient, drones, experimental and classic…

He is one of the heads of ELEVE record label and he develops his career as an Information Systems Engineer besides” (http://soundcloud.com/gblanco).

Marc Atmost : Farewell Note [stasis013]

Marc Atmost surprises with this EP in two ways. On the one hand he delivers us a great drum and bass EP – on the other he seems to say goodbye to producing music. Unaware about the reason, we are stunned about the decision of this gifted artist.

Textural Being – En ce moment… [stasis011]

“Born and raised around a fundamental respect for music, Sage Taylor has never been a stranger to eclectic sounds. With parents who endorsed total freedom of expression his entire life, the young musician from the northwestern part of the United States began composing complete musical pieces as early as the age of 8. Through friends and extended family, who exposed him to a variety of genres and styles as he grew, he quickly found himself deeply rooted in electronic music, something that would stay with him the rest of his life.

Now 23, he resides in Portland, Oregon, only 60 miles from his birthplace, where the beautiful Pacific Northwest scenery and organic feel of the wilderness continue to influence and affect his music, something he’s quite keen to continue to exploit for as long as it is necessary in order to bring listeners deep, relaxing mixtures of dub, ambient and techno.

Message for listeners: ‘Listen for the textures of the world.'”

Stellardrone : Echoes [stasis009]

Stellardrone is a moniker of a composer named Edgaras, born in 1987 and living in a capital of Lithuania. He has no formal musical education, just a passion for sound, which emerged quite late, in his 20’s. Edgaras is currently using only computer software, however doesn’t reject the idea of using live instruments in a future. He is mostly interested in light ambient, berlin school kind of electronic and general space music and tries to fully express his thoughts and feelings with a synthetic, electronic sound.”
