“First release of Patrick Zigon‘s new label Biotop!

Paulo Olarte, Alessandro Crimi and Patrick Zigon are well known artists in the field of electronic music for a long time. Each one of them developed his very own style over the years, and created a constant output on a high artistic level.

Paulo with productions for Diynamic, Liebe*Detail and his labels Fresh Fish and Gala, Alessandro with productions for Sthlm Audio, Polytone and his freshly launched label Waehlscheibe, and Patrick with productions and remixes for Highgrade, Cocoon, Kompakt and now with his label Biotop.

For the first release the artists present a continuous atmosphere. Dubby chords with deep reverbs and hypnotic rhythms characterize these three tracks and provide the typical Biotop-mood.

The [BIOS 001]-packet is available as free download on http://www.biotop-label.net. It contains 3 tracks as MP3 and WAV, special artworks for each track and remix files of Alessandro Crimi’s ‘By Night’.”

Mark Ge : Your Blues Are Rough [NS044]

“Mark Ge is a musician and writer from the North-Eastern United States. His first EP includes a collection of lo-fi bedroom recordings and one studio recording. Most of Your Blues Are Rough is just Mark Ge singing and playing guitar. The lo-fi quality really brings the listener and these tracks to a more intimate setting. ‘Brother’ and ‘The Other Side’ share a similar aural joy found in early tape recordings from the Mountain Goats. ‘Stephanie’ on the other hand is eerily similar to Casiotone For The Painfully Alone with drum machine and simple synth melodies. ‘The Road’, the only studio recording on this release, sees a more polished sound and additional instrumentation from Mark. Additional production on tracks 1-3,5-6 by Tim Dwyer.”
