FLOATING MIND // M3 [monoKraK 23]

Floating Mind (Roberto Vitali) is making electronic music for ten years, now. Always searching for deep and groovy sounds, he founded the netlabel MonoKraK Records in 2006. He’s releasing also on other netlabels. He aims for releasing only on netlabels, because he wants to stay outside the music business, in order to be free for producing what he really like. Without any restrictions. Likeable.

KATYA STROGOVA // Changes [deepx112]

What happened to the house music? Untill Katya Strogova became a professional deejay, many deejays knew her already as a connoisseur of electronic music. “In general, detroit house is what i love. Regardless the direction of techno, nowhere you will hear so much techno as in detroit”, she says. Changes is both a chilled and drifty piece of tech house.

BALLPEN // The dreams trilogy [LBN005]

“Some of this dreams are made in a song form, some others are built like a possible dream would develop.  Some vocal parts  sound like somebody that’s sleep talking and the music is supposed to be what’s  sonically going on in his/her head or you can  hear that the music melts when somebody is falling asleep.  And if you listen at a reasonable low volume you can still hear the  music and what’s going on in the room  next to yours at the same time.”

ALBERTO SANTIZZO // Groovielaugh EP [unfound51]

Alberto Santizzo is a Guatemalan living in Mexico already with a bunch of releases under his belt. On Unfoundsound, he delivers Groovielaugh EP – four deep, off-kilter tech-house jams with an experimental edge fueled by groovy rhythms, nifty basslines, witty vocal cuts and warms synth stabs. These tracks are heady, pleasantly twisted and very dj-friendly. Play them at the party. Play them in your car. Play them on your ipod. And watch your evening flow and flow.”

THE MYSTERY ARTIST // Unquietness [enrmp253]

A drifty new wave / indie rock album by the Portuguese band The Mystery Artist. They initially emerged in early 2006 in Luxembourg as an undefined and in constant evolution concept, reinvented in the summer of the same year in Porto with new members and new musical arrangements.

MOTOR // Mammoth [FRAG011]

I decided to start with this nice album released by the russian netlabel Fragment in 2006. The releases of this label where my first contact to the netlabel scene. Especially “Mammoth” by Motor (Vadim Ougrioumov from Moscow) impressed me a lot. Still in 2010, it’s a brilliant release.
