Música Inmobiliaria : El día que Hulk lloró [pn215]

“Arriving from Colombia, Música Inmobiliaria brings us the positive vibrations that come through the electric bass, rhythms with the timbres of the Arturia Drumbrute and the sounds of an electric guitar with precise distortion, all in order to introduce to us a very friendly and relaxed album with a touch of joy and atmosphere. To encounter Hulk crying and to comfort him is the objective for this album, and thus to overcome the stress of the gamma rays and his characteristic fury. Without a doubt, this disc will inspire those who listen to have a good time together with their favorite sound system.”

Francisco Pinto : Ave Migratoria [pn213]

Ave Migratoria (Migrating Bird) by Francisco Pinto keeps you attentive to every track and as a whole, from micro to macro aspects. Always authentic, it takes you by surprise, grabbing you, starting with IDM, drum & bass, and saturated breaks; referencing house music on several tracks, completely experimenting with beats on others. All of this is tied by synth-made arrangements and melody layers.”

Baradit : Analog Songs [pn212]

“This album incorporates different analog equipment, such as the Argentine GS Music Apollo Mini synthesizer used to make bass lines, and the Korg Volca Keys and Volca Beats used in melodies and rhythms, respectively. The Korg Monologue was also used for basses and leads. Finally, the Korg Electribe EX1 tube sampler was used to reproduce sounds from the classic Roland TR 808 and 909, as well as analog synthesizers sampled from Arturia’s V Collection, such as the Jup 8 V3 or the Jun 6V. All these ingredients ultimately result in a warm, melodic, contemplative sound, yet with character, like a golden sunset by the sea.”

Rafael Cheuquelaf : Camino Interior [pn205]

“Today I share with you the result of a creative exercise: composing and recording music inspired by this photographic record of Magellanic solitude, in a very short time and only using synthesizers, electric bass and an electroacoustic guitar. By doing this I wanted to draw a more complete vision of how I see my habitat and what catches my attention about it. With images and sounds I can express in a deeper way than with words the sensation of strangeness and melancholy that certain places produce in me. And thus reveal new textures under the hard light that illuminates this boundary. I hope you enjoy this brief visual and sonic pass through places where it is easy to imagine that the world has already ended. Because I believe that what would come after our disappearance will be just as calm as that interior path I love to lose myself on”

Infecticide : Finger Bueno [D!HR-45]

“For its 45th release, Da ! Heard It Records cultivates a taste for brawls.
A bewildered small girl, discovering for the first time the taste of shit. Does the sleeve’s illustration drawn by Nils Bertho announce that the worst is yet to come?
In the disturbing time that is life, in this era, in which each selfishly seeks the shortest way to the fulfilment of their impulses, it becomes increasingly normal to get the jitters, which are sometimes full of hate…
When sad clowns take on lews looks, lost in ramblings, leading lunacy, Infecticide reminds us that there is still time to put a finger where it triggers vomiting with Finger Bueno.
It’s no longer time for kisses, the trio plays rock-paper-scissors and unsheathes the rocks. Thrown against all that is sinister, the lyrics of this new album hit with humor, supported by basses thick as cinder blocks, where guitar frictions fuses in all directions.
Straightforward and obsessional texts, an ultra-polished production focused on efficiency: the first vinyl release by Da ! Heard It has the allure of a very compact disc.
In 8 solid tracks, martial and martian rhythms invite the public to defy the laws of gravity to go elsewhere, far away from this cul-de-shitsac world.”

“Times are complicated for music, and even more so for club music. The sound that was created to congregate suddenly no longer congregates, because it is not possible. Although it was nature that locked us in our houses to remind us of our position on the planet, it is also natural to respond to the sound stimulus with the inclination to moveand meet us. It is neurobiology, motor system.”

SciFi Lullaby : Granular Moon [pn142]

“The album Granular Moon was in my ears and the sensation was of warmth, above all things.

SciFi Lullaby, the sonic project formed by Bruno De Vincenti, Jorge Castro and Ramiro Larrain, leaves us here a very delicate work, very careful is its forms and composition. Undoubtedly, we have these three fundamental pillars of the Argentine electronica scene that come together every so often to do what they do best, to express with sounds the hundreds of ideas that go through their little heads.

Sometimes, it is said that electronic music is cold, that the machines do not transmit; however, ‘Granular Moon’ breaks with this, from its lead-off title-track to the closing ‘Puntual’, the album navigates between atmospherics and drones, intersected by neatly-arranged mechanical sequences, where the force the artists exert on their modules, synths and drum pads is very noticeable. That force, which I feel myself as a musician and which I share with SciFi Lullaby, goes from our interior through the instruments, mixing with part of our lives, allowing us to express ourselves in the best way, conveying what happens to me/us in the moment, and adding to the personal tapestry that one carries over.”

Baradit : Revolución Tecnológica [pn139]

“A common childhood memory of those who were born in the last century is to have read encyclopedias, with colorful illustrations that showed us what the future would be like. In those days, as we calculated with expectation how much time was left until the year 2000, technology appeared before us as the Holy Grail, as a promise of a better tomorrow. Time has passed and we became adults, with worries and debts, and with a large part of our lives influenced and managed by machines. Are we living in that future that we expected? Clearly not. As ordinary citizens we cannot travel to Outer Space. There are no cities on the Moon or orbiting the Earth. There are no robots doing housework in our homes. On the other hand, there were many other things that did not appear in these optimistic encyclopedias. And not all are good.

But Electronic Music, especially in its expressions linked to Techno, has the power to revive that feeling of amazement and wonder at the products of human ingenuity. This is precisely what defines the music of Felipe Baradit, a composer and producer from Valparaíso with a long career trajectory. A creator of great perseverance, who cultivates a sound true to his roots, without opportunism or posturing, Baradit weaves rhythms and melodies of synthetic atmosphere that suggest a mediated daily life, in a multicultural Latin America and continuously changing. Revolución Tecnológica (Technological Revolution) is a disc of stylized sound that evokes completely humanized landscapes, with forms of life designed to grow and develop around us. To listen to this work is to unite our imagination with that of its author and to open our senses to its peculiar energy. To capture its vibrations, which someone gifted with synesthesia might visualize with iridescent colors, is an experience that I personally recommend living.”
