“Debut release on Digital Diamonds by F.I.E.L.D.Y from Bahnwärter Thiel/, Wannda, Munich. And it’s a very special one, a homage to three different installations and art cars at Afrikaburn 2017. All track titles pay tribute to the camps and crews, where F.I.E.L.D.Y had the pleasure to play: slow and deep driving minimal techno at the Tree Of Life, immersive tribalistic atmospheres at The Dragon, a hypnotic and trippy interpretation of the Play at The Haupbahnhof by Wanderzrikus feat. vocals by Mo Libretto. Last but not least the title track get’s pimped up by a melodic remix by 959er. Desert tech at it’s best!”

“For this release, I selected 4 tracks from my recent (and currently ongoing) 2018 Audio Diary compilation, which were particularly close to my heart. All tracks use the same core instruments, but the arrangements take very different paths. I revisited the studio files to make final edits/adjustments, which were then elegantly mastered by Stephan Mathieu, at his new studio in Germany. These aren’t tracks to tear up your speakers. It’s my music at its most intimate, exactly how I think it should be.”

“I play a few quiet, sparse notes on guitar or piano or whatever seems appropriate at that moment.
These notes feed into a long, slowly decaying loop.
Once I hear the first note I played repeat in that loop, I stop playing.
This first loop feeds into a second shorter loop.
As the first loop repeats and decays, it continues to feed into the second shorter loop.
The original notes start to layer and interact in ways that could not have been predicted. New chords and motifs are created.

While I play every note on each song, there is no way of knowing exactly what these notes will become.

It is quite magical to play a few notes for usually just over a minute and then listen as these notes take on a life of their own over the next several minutes.”
