JUAN FARCIK // Lock Airtight [blpsq010]

“If you’re determined enough to unlock this cabinet, inside you’ll find a swirling world full of devious musical tricks and traps, and navigating Juan Farcik‘s alien data is definitely worth the effort. Resident bleepers Trigerfinger and Chris Firenze meticulously pick the locks with their sly techniques, and demolitions experts Drugstore also join the efforts with their own explosive solution. And to pack all of the contents back into a more condensed form, Revy re-seals the deal with a densely layered micromix.”

STREHM // Human Process EP [DAST010]

Benjamin Strehm started his passion for electromic music in the age of 14. Very soon after his first experiences he decided to start mixing with turntables himself. Now he has begun to produce his own tracks and releases them on his netlabel DAST Net Recordings. His New EP Human Process is a slightly freaky piece of techno, remembering me somewhat about the sound of choenyi.

YAN KIEFER // Morpheus EP [KLQ11]

“You’re entering in a really deep fog. Morpheus takes you in his arms… You already fell asleep. Sweet dreams!” Yan Kiefer serves mellow so called dark minimal. Upwelling’s remix is a bomb!

DML // Local Area Network EP [gft net 006]

After a period of silence, there’s finally a new release by the Netlabel Grünfeld Tonträger. Considering the flood of netlabel releases missing creativity, the philosophy of this Label is to present fewer releases with higher quality.
DML‘s Local Area Network EP is a solid piece of Dub Techno. For each of this three tracks he used the same basic frame in production, shifting just a few parameters within the tracks. Building a network, these tracks work both unique and in combination.

FLOATING MIND // M3 [monoKraK 23]

Floating Mind (Roberto Vitali) is making electronic music for ten years, now. Always searching for deep and groovy sounds, he founded the netlabel MonoKraK Records in 2006. He’s releasing also on other netlabels. He aims for releasing only on netlabels, because he wants to stay outside the music business, in order to be free for producing what he really like. Without any restrictions. Likeable.

MOTOR // Mammoth [FRAG011]

I decided to start with this nice album released by the russian netlabel Fragment in 2006. The releases of this label where my first contact to the netlabel scene. Especially “Mammoth” by Motor (Vadim Ougrioumov from Moscow) impressed me a lot. Still in 2010, it’s a brilliant release.
