“Bloom, the second EP of trip-hop duo LONER, is a culmination of sorrow, anger, degradation, self imposed isolation and the beauty encapsulated in instability. A testimony to the fact that while we experience pain physically, the capacity to engulf oneself in mental grief surpasses what the body can withstand. The instrumentals for Bloom were crafted using obsolete and forgotten techniques, a sequencer/sampler from the 90’s and vinyl. The vocals are a direct representation of depression frustration and lament which depict the decay of existence. The title track ‘Bloom’ is wearing the heart on the sleeve; it is bleeding in front of a crowd. this is a nerve that has been diminished and swept under the rug, only to be split in the most honest of ways.”
