“Palma Dulce is a project by Clayton Borges, a 24-year-old music producer, born in the Cerrado, in the heart of Brazil.
The passion for the idea of synthesizing sounds came at a very young age, fiddling with guitar pedals and building noise boxes, always flirting a lot with the domination of sound technologies. Doing live acts or DJing, he always carries synthetic timbres, ethereal textures and emotionally sculpted chords.”

“Craca is the ‘alterego’ of music producer and visual artist Felipe Julián, considered a kind of ‘Amon Tobin pulled from Tom Zé’. A trash-messianic being that rises from the depths to establish playful chaos at parties and festival stages, putting the audience to dance with his surrealist performance of music in sync with videomapped image.
His projects received several awards, such as the Brazilian Music Award, the Music Professionals Award and the Catavento Trophy for his body of work.”

“Opening the 2022 cycle of releases, we are happy to welcome Pérola Branca to the family. The Brazilian duo formed by Mandruvá and AVGVSTVS presents their brand new EP Tudo Que Era Sólido Desmanchou No Ar, which translates to ‘All That Is Solid Has Crumbled In The Air’.

The EP had a long construction, natural and with a lot of study, taking over 3 years to finish. Resulting in 3 original and completely organic tracks, filled with various instruments, percussions and ambient recordings. The work quickly takes us to different corners of the planet, it is tied together with continuity and presents a vintage, vinyl aesthetic.”

“Happy birthday to us!

In celebration of our 6th anniversary, we’re proud to present our annual V/A. This year we bring you a double gift, a two volume compilation featuring over 20 Brazilian artists, showcasing the variety of our experimental electronic music. What we call ‘Downtempo’ is a mix of many different styles, with subjective touches that are hard to name, making it difficult to put them in a box. But they do have things in common, and that’s what we search for, it doesn’t have to be named, it just needs to be felt. That’s what you will always find here at Tropical Twista: different, borderless, genre-less, music with a twist.

Today we’re presenting you the first volume of our compilation, it was very carefully curated and with lots of love and dedication involved. Our music is free, as always, but consider making a donation, as all profits from this V/A will be given back to the artists for 1 year. Help us support them in these difficult times. Volume 2 will come very soon, so make sure you stay tuned!
