Surana : Underneath [CVU007]
“While nestled quietly yet authoritatively in Melbourne’s live music scene as a performing percussionist of many years, Surana (aka Lucky Pereira – @surana-dj) strikes up a debut for CV and for this alias with: Underneath.
Pereira’s first soirée into faster, bolder productions, Underneath bumps up the tempo and catapults us through a fine selection of dance-worthy basslines, live percussive riffs, jolted hi hats, and bombshell energies. All designed for laying down in the booth, all designed to shake a leg to, all designed for maximum oomph.
You know when the phrase ‘this person is one to watch’ is thrown around? This time, we damn well mean it. Pereira’s grip on groove has him set on a trajectory that will surely see him excel into the future. At CV, we are excited to see him and those around him grow.
As always, CVU stands for killer Australian artists, and is free to download straight from Soundcloud.”
