“10 years ago, we started Depth with the idea that good digital music should be free and artists should be supported through gigs. We kept the number of releases low and focused on quality over quantity and the proof is in the download. To celebrate our decade of free, unique music, we have this special release with 3 of our artists. Zuko gives us a deep and moving house number, which we have come to expect from this house veteran. Brandon gives us a tech house romper that samples a well-known 90’s speed garage tune, and finally, we got our buddy F Stop (Matt Fiveson) to give us a minimal techno offering that is no less than aural perfection for a minimal head. Here’s to 10 more years!”

“Seven years ago The Studio Stereo was born, and as we know 7 years is the age of reason. To celebrate the event, we have made a big new compilation in two parts around these three axes: dub / experimental / electronic.

Here is the first part. We find the spirit of TSS when it was created, oriented towards minimal techno, and experimental dub! With a few touches here and there of House, or deep ambient. Overall, this compilation offers a deep and dark atmosphere.”

“tdel is the abbreviated alias of Tom deLaubenfels, a resident of Atlanta, Georgia. A lifelong enthusiast of electronic sounds and music, Tom has been experimenting with production for a number of years while continuing to explore his love of deep and hypnotic genres such as techno, ambient, and kosmische. In 2013, these affections brought him to the legendary Labyrinth festival in Japan, and as was true for many like-minded artists before him, the experience was profoundly inspiring. (This is also where he met Hal Floyd of DTH and came to know the label). Tom began to channel these inspirations into his music upon returning home, and, together with the influential sounds of a particular synthesizer, the ideas began to coalesce. The results can be heard on the Ascend and Return EP. Tom has also been mixing techno and house records for more than 10 years and is known for his carefully considered selection and mixing. ”
