“The third album in my DAVID LYNCH series is here! Blue Velvet is one of my all-time favorite films from my all-time favorite filmmaker. I have no other way to better pay tribute to things I like than to make dub albums. Weird right? I hope this scratches your Lynchian itch, and if you like it maybe I’ll do another one in the future! Lost Highway in dub – anyone?

This album was a labor of love that could not have been completed without the amazing efforts my production partner Wise Owl, and the incredible featured guest DUB ROBOT! The music without them would have been good, but with those two I think its GREAT! Heres to many more Black Market records with these two.

“Stop the press!! It’s a ska dub revolution!!! Evening News is an exciting new ska / rocksteady / roots reggae band from the Netherlands. They are taking over the nation with a wicked rhythm section, a proper old school horn section and a lead vocalist who has dedicated his everything to Jamaican old school music.

When the band approached Tony Dubshot with the tapes of their first demo recordings, the dub engineer knew he had struck gold. Always in for a challenge, he fired up his ancient analog gear and started dubbing. The result is now available as a dubbhism netlabel release.

If you live in the Netherlands, make sure you catch this ska sensation live. If you’re somewhere else on the planet… the next Evening News concert will be recorded and mixed by Dubshot, and the tape will appear on this blog some time later this year. More fiya!! Enjoy…”
