“Secondary succession is a form of ecological succession that follows a major disturbance (natural such as fire or human-made such as logging and agriculture). In other words it’s a process of nature reclaiming its own.

Secondary Succession follows the way paved primarily by ‘Roots’ and ‘Forest Paths’. It’s an another attempt to capure one of many aspects of my own environment.”

“In the last few months Naviar’s community has been growing considerably, becoming an amazingly active group of over 100 musicians: as a result, Haiku 9 showcases mostly music from new participants. Here you’ll find music inspired by eight different haiku poems, with genres ranging from field recordings to piano compositions, from industrial to ambient and drone: this is probably one of Naviar’s most varied compilations to date. For the first time in the Haiku series you’ll also find poems written by music participants, and tracks made by poets who previously offered their works for the Haiku challenge.”

“Extrarausch, born at the Baltic Sea in the north east of Germany, has discovered the electronic music in the Berlin Club Scene (e.g. Tresor, Maria am Ostbahnhof, Polar.tv) in the end-nineties. In the subsequent years, he came across the artworks of Moritz von Oswald, Mark Ernestus and Rod Modell, which have had a significant influence on his taste of music to this very day. The start of his journey into sound design and music production has begun in twenty-fourteen, when he decided to settle down after seven years of travelling around the world.
