Martin Mueller : Final Flood [Kidnapping 007]

“From the city of Linz (Austria), Martin Mueller brings the seventh release of Kidnapping to us: techno dampened by the waters of the Danube. We could reduce the entire comment saying it’s an album of pure techno, but we can also say that this label is represented in many shades here.”

Nechayev : Active Nihilism [nichts11]

“The revolutionary despises all doctrines and refuses to accept the mundane sciences, leaving them for future generations. He knows only one science: the science of destruction. For this reason, but only for this reason, he will study mechanics, physics, chemistry, and perhaps medicine. But all day and all night he studies the vital science of human beings, their characteristics and circumstances, and all the phenomena of the present social order. The object is perpetually the same: the surest and quickest way of destroying the whole filthy order.

Sergey Nechayev, Catechism of a Revolutionary”

Lifeblood : Stairway To Destiny EP [CICUTA 019]

“Welcome to the release number 19 of Cicuta Netlabel. We live in an unjust world by nature, where are prevailing values that have nothing to do with art. The music scene is a clear example of this. We are saturated with marketing products, while real artists from your own room at home, are creating real wonders that deserve to be appreciated by the general public.

From our point of view, the artist who signed the reference of this month is one of those artists, one of those underrated by the scene who fights and make real wonders. This artist is Bran Lanen.

In this reference, shows his most hypnotic and experimental face, under his aka Lifeblood. He offers 6 cuts ranging from techno to ambient, with a sound reminiscent of the best times of Jeff Mills. A sound that is catching and wrapping you up to take you to a state of altered consciousness.

It is not the first (and sure it’s not the last) time we bet on this artist, so if you want to hear more of his works, take a tour by our catalog, you will find real gems. You can also listen to his work on labels like Zimmer, Labrynth or Geometrika Netlabel and on his own label, newly emerging, Ibyat

Various Artists : Isquion EP [CICUTA 015]

“Welcome to the release number 15 of Cicuta Netlabel. Hit by the crisis, we leave 2012, suffocated in the challenge every day, but also with the hope that 2013 will bring some light to the situation that we are enduring. Techno is just techno, and can’t feed us, doesn’t pay bills, can’t afford many of the dramatic situations that people live. But it is also true that music changes the mood, and a positive attitude creates positive actions around us. That’s why we like to think that, in our own way, we are helping to improve the system…

Open the EP with Ad.Lib, Swiss artist who may not be well known to the general public, but if we tell you that has played at Tresor and his music is in the suitcase of people like Luke Slater and Speedy J, few would have doubt about his quality…

We continue with the French group Minimum Syndicat, who is having a major impact in recent months. With a powerful
techno and 90’s samples, reach Cicuta to give us a sample of why they succeed.

Another artist who visit us for the first time is Komabase, German artist who after going through labels like Naked Lunch, Labrynth or UTCH and having the support of Dave Clarke himself, brings a track quite introspective, full of shapes able to hypnotize the listener.

Then we travel to Lithuania for the first time, to present to Gediminas Rodmokas, better known as Rusk, artist with a long history (since 1998) under his belt and reaching Cicuta after going through some of the most active labels today (We Call It Hard, Dispired Industrials, …)

We follow with Mslwte, pseudonym under which we can find the Subsekt’s blog boss, one of the busiest and most respected by most artists of the current techno scene.

Finally, from Drugstore put the icing on the cake with our usual track. We don’t want to miss this opportunity to wish you a merry Christmas and wish you a happy new year, full of happiness and in the company of your own.”

Various Artists : Fármaco EP [CICUTA013]

“Welcome to the 12+1th reference of Cicuta Netlabel. After the hangover of the anniversary, we returned to the pitch to offer your free monthly techno ration. This time, we wanted to make a tribute to Spanish techno, so well that getting outside our borders, and which you have been listening to in earlier releases.

Start the EP with Victor Martinez, a classic of the north dance floors. After some early netaudio stage, appearing on labels like Offaudio or Antiritmo, he has managed to reach great heights in the European scene, releasing on labels like Pohjola Records or Dynamic Reflection. He is currently focusing on two projects, his own label (Psychoskunk Recordings) and his aka (Error Etica), developing a deeper and more visceral side.

We continue with Bran Lanen, this time under his aka Lifeblood. Bran is one of our fetish artists, and listening to his music is impossible not to get him to our releases. Under this pseudonym going to find more experimental music and thoughtful than usual, as a never ending tunnel…

Then we again have Jaume Muntsant, better known as Hermético, one of the most important artists of the Spanish netaudio scene, with years of experience and thousands of works behind. Manager of Inoquo netlabel, of the blog Oir Para Creer, partner in Intangible23 radioshow… his career speaks for itself…

Another artist who returns to Cicuta is Hecrom, whose appearance in our tenth reference caused a sensation among our listeners. This time not disappoint, as it brings us a track on the same line as above, deep, powerful, super mental …

As a new appearance, we have Hector Oaks from Madrid, young artist who is making his way on the national scene. Having published in several national and foreign labels and passed through clubs as Danzoo, reaches Cicuta to show us his vision of techno.

Finally, and as always, from Drugstore close the EP with its own theme. Here we bring you a slower track, reminiscent of Detroit sounds, hope you like…”

Various Artists : Shunt EP [CICUTA009]

“May is the gateway to the summer, a month of contrasts, from the summer heat to the cold spring. For Cicuta Netlabel, this release is a good analogy to this, because we can go from poweful and dark techno to the most melodic and danceable techno.

We open the EP with Irish Luke Creed, one of the headers of new techno generations. At just 23 years has managed to publish in some of the most influential labels, such as TMM Records, Elektrax or Heaven to Hell, getting very good feedback from the heavyweights of the scene. It is also Gobsmacked Records label manager with Diarmaid O’Meara, which has been working since 2007 with a great success.

We continue with one of the new values of the prolific Spanish quarry, Jose Pouj. After releasing on labels such as Tsunami and Warm Up, no one doubts the quality and talent of this producer. Another project in which is having success with his own label, Injected Poison, which is distributed worldwide and features artists like Oscar Mulero or Kike Pravda.

The next artist that we present is the Australian Allan Nonamaka, co-manager of Fervent label, and an excellent producer. Although it may sound unfamiliar to someone, has already published two references in Labrynth and published with Inigo Kennedy in Fervent, so stay tuned, is a name to watch.

Then we return to the national product, presenting an issue of Moitan, whose components are old acquaintances and friends of Cicuta, Loisan and Mootiv. As separately, his style is fresh, dynamic, with a techno that does not let you have your feet on the ground, with lots of groove.

Another old friend who returns to publish with us is David Reina, who this time brings a deep track, hypnotic, not for heart disease. Possibly one of the best work we’ve had the pleasure of publishing in our short existence.

Finally, as usual, from Drugstore we present our own work. This time we bring a very eclectic track, without style, designed for people with no musical barriers and prejudice.”

Bran Lanen : Sign Of The Progress EP [CICUTA 006]

“Welcome to the sixth release of Cicuta Netlabel. From Cicuta always try to support the Spanish artists, as we believe that within our borders there is an excess of talent, perhaps in the welter of names who daily come to the fore, are a little forgotten. There is a special artist, whom we met a few years ago, and surprised us with his talent and his way of feeling the music, which we do not accept that, and we try to give it the support it deserves. We’re talking about Bran Lanen.

Bran is an artist from León (Spain), passionate defender of hardware and analog. So far his career in the musical has been pretty tied to netaudio, having published on netlabels like Zimmer, Antiritmo or Geometrika, but that has not stopped him getting a great success in a commercial label such Labrynth, publishing under his aka Lifeblood.

In this EP, Bran offers 4 intense tracks, deep, mental, full of nuances that surround you in an atmosphere of darkness which is not easy to leave. Of course, without ever losing sight of the dance floor…

As for the remixers, on the one hand we have from Zagreb (Croatia) to Robert Pain, one of the artists who are making waves in the underground circuit techno artists. His label, Black Queen, despite having little reference is becoming a must for lovers of deep and dark techno. We note particularly the reference number 1, which has been played by a lot of great dj on the world stage.

Finally, and as always, from Drugstore bring our usual remix, in this case giving a more powerful vision to the track Lost Procedures.”
